Hut site in Commons West (bear By.)

In rough hill pasture, on a break on the W-facing stony slopes of Miskish Mountain and within a network of relict field boundaries (CO114-084011-). The remains of a circular hut site (diam. 2.5m) defined by the jumbled lower courses of a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.45m; H 0.65m) which consists mainly of larger stones. The level interior, which is partially obscured by rubble, is raised (H 0.2m) at the W to compensate for the hillslope. Another hut site (CO114-084002-) is c. 30m to the SW.
