What is recorded here

In rough hill pasture, on a break on the stony W-facing slopes of Miskish Mountain and within the remains of a network of field boundaries (CO114-084011-). A circular area (6.6m E-W; 6.4m N-S) is defined by the remains of a roughly constructed drystone wall (T 0.5m; H 0.6m), some of which is spilling downslope. The stony E half of the interior slopes down to the W and the W half is almost level. A hut site (CO114-084009-) abuts the enclosure at SW. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). Date of upload: 22 December 2009
