The Iveragh archaeological survey identified a possible hut site inside the rath, preserving a low stony mound with a central depression 4.1m across. That small circular mark suggests a roofed place where fire, food and conversation once filled the dark. The surrounding rath already claimed attention, yet this quieter mound points to domestic life hidden beneath grass and stones.

A possible hut site (KE079-053002-) occurs in the SW quadrant of the rath. It survives as a low stony sod-covered mound with a central depression measuring 4.1m across.
