Hut site in Caherleheen (trughanacmy By., Ballyseedy Par.)

'The remains of a circular, though much collapsed and denuded stone hut site is located in the boggy valley to the north Knockawaddra Mountain, in an area of peatland which is being cut for turf. Total dimensions of this site are10.0m N-S by 8.00m E-W, the average width of the enclosing walls being 0.80m in width. The wall has an average external height of 0.25m, the height internally being 0.20m. Evidence of stone coursing still remains at the north west side, where two courses of stone built in the dry-stone fashion are visible. The site is now much overgrown, and seems to have suffered considerably from the robbing of stone to construct a nearby modern rectangular turf-drying platform, which abuts this hutsite at north.'
