Situated 30m NE of a hut site (TS080-017----) on the E edge of a raised piece of land separating two converging mountain streams. Glennyreea River immediately to N which forms townland boundary with Cloheenafishoge. Listed as Boolakennedy 2 (Costello 2016, 98; Costello 2016, 97, 310) and described as a rectangular hut site (ext. dims. 5.4m x 3.5m; int. dims. 3.9m x 1.7m) aligned NE-SW constructed with low stone-built walls (H 0.2-0.8m; Wth 0.8m), partly covered by sods and best-preserved at NE. The placename ‘Glennyreea’ is an anglicisation of Gleann Áirí, which translates as Valley of the Summer Milking-Place (Costello 2016, 203; Costello 2020, 114).
