Hut site in Ballydarrig

This site, which has been levelled, was situated about 30m NW of a cross-inscribed boulder (KE069-015----). A record of it made in the 1930s noted that the hut was in a very collapsed state, forming a cairn of appromimately circular plan. A Man-made underground passage, with an opening c. 8m to NW, was reported locally to have had two passages (KAS). This appears to be the 'chambered cairn' referred to by O'Connell (1939a, 47).
