Hut site in Baile An Lochaigh

On a tract of relatively level and rock-free ground about 30m W of upper reaches of Feohanagh river. An oval corbelled drystone hut with a lintelled entrance, .65m wide x .9m high, at E. Two lintelled recesses in wall, one of which may have been an entrance to a wall-passage. D: 3.1 x 2.75m. H: 2m. T: A wedge-shaped enclosure, 4m x 1.5 to 3m, abuts hut at N, and a 2nd enclosure, 2m square, lies directly W of the 1st. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne.
