Mystery and danger kill the claim that the chamber contained a human bedroom. The chamber contained a living creature. The chamber contained a horse, goat or sheep. The chamber contained a creature that needed a roof during storm and a fence during daylight. The chamber contained a creature that could be grabbed at dawn and dragged to market or plough. People believed the chamber contained a creature because stone and gap matched creature needs. People still believe the chamber contained a creature because the measure fits a small animal and does not fit a family. The chamber contained a creature, not a person.
