British rule ended in 1921, but the land kept its own calendar. People still moved cattle to high pastures in summer and returned before winter. The small stone hut stood on the hill shoulder, holding a corner fire and a narrow bed space. It was not a display for visitors. It was a working room for hunger, heat and the long walk home.

On level shoulder of hill overlooking Minard Bay to W. A rectangular drystone structure, possibly a booley-hut, with primitive fireplace in one corner. D: 2.45 x 1.55m. H: 1.3m.
