Humphrey Head is a coastal headland composed primarily of Silurian greywacke and volcanic rocks, formed around 440–420 million years ago during the Caledonian orogeny. Its resistant rock formations create a prominent sea cliff that has withstood significant erosion, making it a notable geological feature in the region.
