Hoy is the largest island in the Orkney archipelago of Scotland, known for its dramatic cliffs and the dramatic 500-metre high sea stack called the Old Man of Hoy. It has a long history of Norse settlement and is notable for its well-preserved archaeological sites, including the Heart of Neolithic Orkney, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
