What is recorded here

Terraced two-bay two-storey red brick house with dormer attic, built 1896, retaining original fenestration. Renovated, c.1970, with dormer attic remodelled. One of a terrace of seven. Pitched (shared) slate roof with clay ridge tiles, red brick Running bond (shared) chimney stacks, flat felt roof, c.1970, to dormer attic window, and cast-iron rainwater goods on red brick eaves. Red brick Flemish bond wall with vitrified blue brick course to first floor. Square-headed window openings with stone sills, and 2/2 timber sash windows. Square-headed door opening with timber panelled door. Road fronted with concrete footpath to front.
This house, built as one of a terrace of seven identical units, has been very well maintained to present an early aspect, retaining important original salient features and materials – the remodelled dormer attic window does not impinge on the street front elevation of the house. The house, together with the remainder of the terrace (22502095, 7 - 8/WD-5632-21-1114, 6 - 7), is an attractive feature in the streetscape of Shortcourse and is distinguished by the construction in red brick.
