According to the Book of Survey and Distribution Marcus Cheevers owned 59 acres at Talbotstown in 1640 (Simington 1953, 300), and a house is marked at Talbotstown on the Down Survey parish map of Kilmacree parish (1656-8). The precise location of this house is not known.
