The terrier accompanying the Down Survey (1655-6) parish map for St Patrick's Parish mentions, 'In Holdingsrath a Castle and some Cabbins' and 'George Shea, Ir[ish] P[apist]' is listed as the proprietor in 1640. The precise location of these houses within Holdenraths townland are unknown.
