The terrier accompanying the Down Survey (1655-6) Parish map of Coolerahin, records, ‘a little Castle and House in Repaire at Clintstowne with some Cabbins’, with the proprietor listed as ‘Lord MountGarrett Ir[ish] Pa[pist]’.
