According to the Civil Survey (1654-6) in 1640 on the 'Gleabland' of Dunohill Parish there was 'one thatcht house The sd Viccar Proprietor thereof It is all wast' (Simington 1934, vol. 2, 367). The Civil Survey states that the 'sd Gleabland is situated close to the yard of the Church of the sayd Parish, fenced about with a ditch' (ibid.). The house referred to is unlocated within Churchfield townland, but appears to be in the vicinity of the church (TS059-016----) and graveyard (TS059-016001-).
