Terraced two-bay three-storey over basement former house, built c. 1830, now used as surgery. Pitched slate roof, clay ridge tiles, hidden by parapet, brick corbelled chimneystack, stone coping to parapet, cast-iron gutter bracketed to brick eaves corbel course, circular cast-iron downpipe to south elevation. Red brick walling laid in Flemish bond to upper storeys, painted random rubble and smooth rendered ruled-and-lined walling to basement and plinth course to north elevation, random rubble stone walling to south elevation. Square-headed window openings, painted smooth rendered patent reveals, tooled limestone stone sills, painted timber six-over-six sliding sash windows, three-over-six sliding sash windows to second floor, painted timber multiple-pane casement window to basement; red brick block-and-start surrounds to south elevation openings. Segmental-headed door opening, painted moulded smooth rendered surround, painted timber pilasters surmounted by scrolled console brackets support frieze, cornice and plain-glazed fanlight, painted timber door with two round-headed flat panels, entrance platform approached by twelve steps, flanked by smooth rendered ruled-and-lined plinth wall. House set back slightly from street, front site bounded by smooth rendered ruled-and-lined wall, basement accessed through cast-iron gate, flight of steps to basement.

This well-proportioned terraced house was built along with five other similarly designed houses. The façade of the building is enlivened by the rendered doorcase, typical of this period. The most striking feature of this house, and indeed the entire terrace, is the entrance steps which lead to the door, creating a formal entrance into the house. The retention of the early sliding sash windows are worthy of particular note, adding to the architectural value of the structure.
