Terraced two-bay four-storey over basement former house, built c. 1800, as a group of three with the adjoining houses to the west. Roof hidden behind parapet, corbelled chimneystack, modillions supporting cornice to parapet, gutter hidden by parapet. Painted smooth rendered ruled-and-lined walling, projecting plinth, sill course to first floor surmounted by block-and-start channelled quoins. Square-headed window openings, moulded smooth rendered architraves, frieze and cornice to ground, first and second floor window openings, painted stone sills, painted timber one-over-one sliding sash windows. Round-headed door opening, painted stone Gibbsian surround, scroll brackets surmounted by broken bed pediment, 'Y' traceried fanlight, painted timber door with six raised-and-fielded panels, brass door furniture, cast-iron boot scraper to tooled limestone entrance platform approached by three tooled limestone steps. Basement area bounded by tooled limestone plinth wall surmounted by floral cast-iron railings. Outbuildings to rear in south. Street fronted.

This terraced town house is typical in design of late-eighteenth, early-nineteenth century town architecture. The retention of early fabric such as the sliding sash windows along with the original Gibbsian door surround, with broken bed pediment and fanlight with decorative "Y" tracery, enliven the façade. The cast-iron work is of particular note, the railings which surround the basement area are striking in there design and highly decorative, adding to the artistic and architectural quality of the structure. Situated on Laurence Street, the historical centre of the town, this house plays a positive role in the streetscape and adds to the architectural heritage of Drogheda.
