Detached three-bay two-storey house, built c.1880. Recent extensions to rear. Pitched artificial slate roof with rendered chimneystacks and uPVC rainwater goods. Painted rendered walls. Square-headed openings with two-over-two timber sliding sash windows and stone sills. Square-headed door opening. Enclosed to front (north) and rear (south) by rendered enclosing walls with piers.

This building is an excellent example of the form of late nineteenth and early twentieth century rural houses in West Cork. The distinctive character of the house has been retained through the retention of original features, notably the timber sliding sash windows. Set in a prominent coastal location, it makes an eyecatching addition to the surrounding landscape.
