Terraced two-bay four-storey house, c. 1840, with dormer extension, round-headed door opening and annexe to rear; altered and modernised, c. 1970; steps up from street to garden having brick pedimented doorway; asbestos slate pitched roof and dashed render to walls.

Although this building has been altered and many original features lost it forms part of a large terrace on an elevated and prominent site. The front of the house is accessed from the street through a decorative gateway and up stone steps - a feature very typical of these terraces to the north of the city.
