What is recorded here

Semi-detached three-bay single-storey house, c.1910, retaining original aspect. One of a pair. Hipped profiled red clay tiled roof with red clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks, and cast-iron rainwater goods on timber eaves. Painted rendered walls. Square-headed window openings with concrete sills, and timber casement windows. Square-headed door opening in shallow segmental-headed open internal porch with glazed tongue-and-groove timber panelled door. Set back from line of road in own grounds with forecourt having hedge boundary with wrought iron gate.
This house, built as one of a pair (second in pair not included in survey), is an attractive, small-scale dwelling that is representative of the type of modest houses built at the turn of the twentieth century. The survival of the original fabric throughout is of importance and contributes to the historic character of the locality. The house is an integral component of the streetscape, following the topography of the slightly sloping site through the use of a stepped roofline in the pair.
