Detached six-bay single-storey vernacular house, built c. 1800, having windbreak to front (north) elevation. Pitched corrugated-iron roof with rendered chimneystacks. Decorative timber bargeboards to windbreak. Painted rendered walls. Square-headed window openings having render surrounds, limestone sills, and one-over-one pane and two-over-two pane timber sliding sash windows, some with cast-iron bars. Square-headed door opening having timber battened door with overlight. Six-bay single-storey outbuilding to west, having pitched corrugated-iron roof, painted rendered walls, and square-headed window and door openings having timber fittings and single- and double-leaf timber battened doors. Rendered square-plan piers with decorative wrought-iron garden gate and double-leaf vehicular gates.

This substantial vernacular house has a typically-steep roof. The timber sash windows of various types add interest to the main elevations, while the building's position relative to the road and the general grouping of outbuildings creates a strong focal point in the landscape.
