Medieval stone house known as the archdeacon's court, located on the N side of Newgate Lane in Limerick City. In 1582 the English crown granted John O'Grady alias Brady of Tuamgraney, Co. Clare, son and heir of Dionysius O Grady alias Brady lands including 'a stone house in the city of Limerick called the archdeacon's court with eight tenements adjoining, in the parish of S. Nicholas, the north part lying to the cemetery of S. Nicholas, the south to the lane called Tray Invollin alias the Millshore and the west to the Back lane, in which house the said Dionysius O Grady, knt., died (Nicholls 1994, 543-4). O'Flaherty (2010, Fig. 3, 53) recorded the following details about this medieval house; 'Archdeacon's house, Newgate Lane N.
