What is recorded here
Formerly semi-detached three-bay two-storey house, c.1820, now terraced. Smooth rendered walls. Replacement small pane timber sash windows with stone sills and patent reveals. Timber panelled door with fanlight and granite step. Pitched slate roof with chimney stack to each end and to rere. Limestone steps down to a rubble stone wall to street front.
A handsome, balanced Georgian house of a type once common in towns and large villages, often now considerably altered. Though refurbished, it nevertheless retains its original feel and, with its neighbour, forms a strong group which enhances the streetscape.
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
