Detached four-bay single-storey house, built c. 1910, having gabled windbreak to front (east) elevation. Pitched slate roof with brick chimneystack. Roughcast rendered walls. Square-headed openings having single and paired two-over-four pane timber sliding sash window and concrete sills. Square-headed opening to windbreak with timber battened door. Rubble dry stone boundary walls to site having single-leaf timber gate.

This simple attractive dwelling occupies a prominent position at the edge of the town boundary and contributes positively to the streetscape. The building retains most of its original form and character which is evident in the windbreak and the widespread window openings. It is typical of the type of houses built by local authorities for landless labourers following the passing of the Land Acts from the 1880s to 1920s.
