Detached four-bay two-storey house, c.1870, on a T-shaped plan with single-bay single-storey recessed lean-to end bay to left (south), and two-bay two-storey return to west. Refenestrated, c.1945, with some openings remodelled. Pitched slate roof on a T-shaped plan (lean-to to end bay) with clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks, decorative (scalloped) timber bargeboards, and replacement uPVC rainwater goods, c.1995, on timber eaves. Unpainted roughcast wall to front (east) elevation (ivy-clad), unpainted rendered walls to remainder, and slate hanging to gable to side (south) elevation. Square-headed window openings (some remodelled, c.1945, forming bipartite arrangement) with stone sills and replacement steel windows, c.1945, having pivot (horizontal) sections. Square-headed door opening with replacement timber panelled door, c.1995. Set back from line of road in own grounds with random rubble stone boundary wall to front having rendered coping, squared rubble stone piers, and wrought iron gate.

A well-proportioned and finely-detailed modest-scale house that has been well maintained to present an early aspect. Of particular interest is the section of slate hanging to one elevation, decorative timber joinery, together with the distinctive steel fenestration that is an increasingly-rare survival. The house, positioned adjacent to a stream and bridge, forms an appealing feature in the street scene of Kilmanahan.
