Detached four-bay single-storey vernacular house, built c.1850, having further bay to west built as outbuilding. Now used for storage. Pitched corrugated-iron roof, red brick chimneystack in stretcher bond. Corrugated-iron and asbestos roofing to rear. Whitewashed rubble stone walls. Square-headed window openings having two-over-two pane timber sliding sash windows. Square-headed door opening set in windbreak with flat concrete roof with replacement battened timber door, set on stone platform approached by two cement rendered steps. Door opening to rear of outbuilding part blocked up. Ancillary buildings to west of house and detached stone outbuilding to east with painted battened timber door. Located on sloping site facing north on to road and main junction of Inishkeen, bounded to west by rubble wall.

This vernacular house retains its form and fabric despite its now dilapidated condition. The windbreak porch and small window openings are characteristic of Irish vernacular houses. the plan is 'direct entry' type, where the front doorway leads directly into the main room (kitchen). It is likely that the level of the walls has been raised to accommodate the lower pitch of the metal roof. Though the original thatched roof has been lost, its replacement metal roof illustrates the adoption of new building materials into the vernacular tradition. The structure has retained its original form and is a picturesque part of the streetscape near the main intersection of Inishkeen.
