What is recorded here
On the spine of Rindown peninsula within the town and c. 230m NW of the gatehouse (RO046-004015-) in the castle (RO046-004002-). This is described as a D-shaped grass-covered cairn (dims 20.6m NW-SE; 11.5m NE-SW; H c. 0.5m) with a fragment of a wall (L 3.8m; T 0.9m) protruding through it. The cairn is truncated by a NW-SE field wall at SW. House (RO046-004007-) is c. 200m to the NW, and house (RO046-004009-) is c. 70m to the SE. (Bradley and Dunne 1988a, 66, House 3)
