Detached four-bay single-storey house, c.1810. Glazed timber door and timber casement windows in rubble walls. Dressed quoins, granite coping and returned kneelers. Blank gables, part rendered. Rere (west) elevation blank. Pitched slate roof with rendered brick chimney stacks. Spring to north channelled as water supply.

This cottage is a good example of local building tradition. It shows returned kneelers, blank gables and the asymmetrical chimney arrangement caused by the room beyond the chimney breast. It complements its neighbours as part of a clachan or farming settlement.
