Excavated (E3478) during 2005 by L. Mckinstry as part of Site 13 at Moneylawn Lower, which was one of the excavations undertaken in advance of the construction of the N11 Arklow-Gorey link-road. Structure 2 is situated outside the outer enclosure of concentric enclousre (WX011-060001-) at S and c. 15m S of enclosure (WX011-060002-). It consists of two concentric circular gullies or slot-trenches (int. diam. c. 4.8m; ext. diam. c. 6m) but only the W part survived as no features associated with it were found E of a NE-SW field drain. It contained a number of pits and a hearth, but the few internal post-holes did not appear to be structural. (Mckinstry 2008, 404; 2008a, 8-10)
