What is recorded here
Detached four-bay single-storey vernacular house, built c.1800, having integral single-bay single-storey byre to east end under same roof. Pitched thatched roof with low rendered chimneystack. Limewashed coursed rubble limestone walls with squared quoins. Square-headed window openings with two-over-two pane timber sliding sash windows and painted sills. Square-headed door openings, with timber battened half-door to main house.
This simple vernacular house of the direct-entry type retains much of its original character, further enhanced by the retention of timber sliding sash windows and a half door. The integral byre makes the building one of considerable interest.
