Detached three-bay single-storey house with half-dormer attic, dated 1898, on a rectangular plan with three-bay single-storey rear (south) elevation. Now disused. Pitched slate roof with clay ridge tiles, paired red brick Running bond (east) or fine roughcast (west) central chimney stacks having stringcourses below capping supporting terracotta pots, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves retaining cast-iron downpipes. Rendered, ruled and lined walls. Square-headed central door opening with concealed dressings framing glazed timber door. Square-headed flanking window openings in bipartite arrangement with concrete or rendered sills sills, timber mullions, and concealed dressings framing one-over-one timber sash windows. Square-headed central window opening to rear (south) elevation with concrete or rendered sill, and concealed dressings framing two-over-two timber sash window having part exposed sash box. Set back from line of road in unkempt landscaped grounds with rendered panelled piers to perimeter having finial-topped chamfered capping supporting spear head-detailed looped wrought iron gate.

A gate lodge-like house representing an integral component of the domestic built heritage of County Wexford with the architectural value of the composition suggested by such attributes as the compact rectilinear plan form centred on a featureless doorcase; the definition of the principal "apartments" or reception rooms by elegant bipartite glazing patterns; and the high pitched roofline. A period of apparent unoccupancy notwithstanding, the elementary form and massing survive intact together with substantial quantities of the original fabric, both to the exterior and to the interior, thus upholding the character or integrity of a house forming part of a neat self-contained group alongside a diagonally opposing house (see 15703301) with the resulting ensemble making a pleasing visual statement in a sylvan street scene.
