Detached four-bay single-storey vernacular house, built c.1850, having single-storey addition to rear. Marram grass thatched roof with wire mesh over, some canvas protection, and roped and pegged to stone pegs to eaves and gable, and with two rendered chimneystacks; flat felt roof to extension. Smooth lime-rendered walls. Square-headed openings with painted stone sills and two-over-two pane timber sliding sash windows and timber battened door. Stone flag paving to front of house. Multiple-bay single-storey farm building adjacent, having pitched corrugated-asbestos roof and rubble stone walls.

This vernacular house retains its early form and character and the survival of some features, including small irregular openings, lime-rendered walls and low chimneystacks, contributes to its vernacular pedigree. The marram grass thatch, sourced from the local shoreline, although in disrepair, has been secured with rope and stone pegs – a traditional construction method in Donegal.
