Fine roughcast walls on rendered cushion course on rendered plinth with rusticated rendered quoins to corners. Hipped square-headed central door opening in segmental-headed recess with timber mullions on step threshold supporting timber transom, and rendered "bas-relief" surround framing timber panelled door having sidelights. Square-headed window openings with concrete sills, and rendered "bas-relief" surrounds framing one-over-one timber sash windows having part exposed sash boxes. Set in landscaped grounds with wrought iron "estate railings" to forecourt.
A house representing an integral component of the early twentieth-century domestic built heritage of Carrickbyrne with the architectural value of the composition suggested by such attributes as the compact rectilinear plan form centred on a restrained doorcase; and the uniform or near-uniform proportions of the openings on each floor. Having been well maintained, the elementary form and massing survive intact together with substantial quantities of the original fabric, thus upholding the character or integrity of a house making a pleasing visual statement in a sylvan street scene.
