What is recorded here
In rolling agricultural landscape on a gentle N-facing slope. Excavated in 2007 in advance of the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford road improvement scheme (Licence no. E3456, Structure 2). A number of post-holes and pits forming a circle with a line of post-holes possibly representing the S edge of an entrance feature or porch at SE similar to a house (KK023-142----) c. 20m to the N. A hearth (recut on a number of occasions) was centrally placed. Another hearth, windbreak and waste pits to the SE are likely to have been associated with this structure. Another house (KK023-144----) was excavated c. 30m to the SW. (Devine and Zimny 2009; Devine 2010, 239-40, no. 901)
