Housatonic is a steam tanker lost in 1908, still broken across Russell rock in County Antrim. Her bow lies shallow at seven metres while her stern sleeps deeper at thirty-five, scattering debris along the eastern and northern edges of the rock. The sea did not swallow her cleanly; it broke her open and left her visible, a long wound in the water where the tide still drags across her remains.
