What is recorded here

The exact location of this (leper?) hospital which was dedicated to St Bridget is uncertain; possibly in the Prospect Hill area to NE of Galway town (GA094-100----). Founded c. 1541 by Thos. Lynch Fitzstephen and burned by Hugh O'Donnell in 1597. No visible trace survives.
