What is recorded here
Hood Ball reaches an elevation of approximately 200 metres and is part of the undulating chalk and clay landscape typical of the South Hams. Its prominence is modest, but it contributes to the regional character of the Dartmoor fringes, where folklore often links prominent hills to local legends and historical land use.
