St. Pappin's Well sits hidden in a private Santry garden, reached only by a steep flight of steps into dark earth. The water stopped flowing in 2012, yet the hole remains a quiet wound in the ground where devotion once pooled. People still call it holy, not because they pray there now, but because the name refuses to leave. Forgetting is easier than admitting a dead well still owns a corner of the town.

Locally known as 'St. Pappin's Well. Described by Ó Danachair (1958, 78-9) as; 'in a private garden just outside the grounds of the C. of I. church of Santry. The well is below ground level and reached by a flight of steps. No devotions now, but still known as a holy well'.
