Holy well in Shangarry is a vanished ritual site in County Carlow, Ireland, remembered as St. Finnians Well. No visible surface remains, yet the name preserves a place where people may have prayed, washed wounds or marked a sacred threshold. Its absence does not erase it; it redirects the story into memory, tradition and the hidden life of the land.

Linked to St. Finnian, the well may have been associated with healing traditions or baptismal rites common at early Christian sites. St. Finnian was a 6th-century Irish saint known for founding monasteries and wells dedicated to him often feature in folklore as places of spiritual and physical healing.
