Faugha, a couple of fields north-east of Muckalee church, once held a holy well now destroyed. Carrigan recorded it in 1905, but the exact spot has been lost. The land may still remember water, prayer and the hands that dipped into it before the well disappeared.

According to Carrigan (1905, vol. 3, 455), there 'was a holy well, destroyed long ago, in Mr. Hunt's "Faugha," a couple of fields north-east of the church [Muckalee church KK010-069001-]'. The precise location of this holy well is unknown. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 14 January 2019
