Holy well in Magherareagh (Ardfinnan parish), Magherareagh (Tubbrid parish) is a holy well in Magherareagh (Ardfinnan parish), Magherareagh (Tubbrid parish), County Tipperary, Ireland. Power's 1908 account named Tobar Naoimh Eoin, or St John's Well, on the townland's south boundary. The 2011 compilation left the well unlocated within Magherareagh.
According to Power (1908, 74) in Magherareagh townland there is a well called 'Tobar Naoimh Eoin - "St. John's Well"; on south boundary of the townland'. This well remains unlocated within the townland. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
Linked to St. John, the well is traditionally associated with healing and purification. In Irish tradition, St. John's Wells were often visited on St. John's Eve (23 June) for rituals involving water, light, and protection.
