What is recorded here

Water has always flowed there, but nobody remembers when the first jar dipped into it or why the jar existed. The hole in the ground is smaller than a kitchen table, yet it has outlasted every house built around it. Farrantemple keeps its distance, which is why the well still belongs to itself instead of a museum.
