No alder bush or offering remains at Bullán na Caillí, yet the small limestone hollow still stands on the Inis Mór bluff. People once tied gifts to a branch above water that never stopped moving. That much has been forgotten. The well keeps what it can.

On the crest of a limestone bluff c. 300m SW of the village of Eoghanachta, Inis Mór. Known locally as Bullán na Caillí (Robinson 1980), it consists of an irregular natural hollow in the rock (L 0.65m, Wth 0.4m). Haddon and Browne (1893, 818) noted votive offerings on an alder bush over this well but no trace of either survive.
