What is recorded here
Coolderry is named in a 1983 county plan as having a holy well, yet no exact place is written. That gap makes the well feel alive because memory, not measurement, must carry it. A holy well is not ordinary water. It is water touched by prayer, patience and repeated human belief. If Coolderry kept one, the town is not empty of wonder. It is only waiting for the forgotten point to be found again.
Unlocated holy well mentioned in the 1983 Laois County Development Plan.
