What is recorded here

Holy wells across Ireland and Britain mark places where clean water rose close enough for people to trust it with prayer, illness, memory and hope. Some were tied to saints, some to older local belief, and in many cases both traditions shared the same stone edge. The well did not need a grand building; it needed only to keep giving water, and to give people a reason to return.
