What is recorded here

Gateway, extant 1880, on a symmetrical plan comprising paired quatrefoil-detailed cast-iron "bird cage" piers having "crown spire" capping supporting cast-iron gates centred on cast-iron double gates. Street fronted at entrance to grounds of Holy Trinity Church (Oughaval).
A gateway donated (1871) by William Livingstone (1832-94) of Belclare House (Hastings 2009, 14) making a pleasing visual statement in Newport Street at the entrance on to the grounds of Holy Trinity Church (Oughaval).
