HMS Nottingham was a light cruiser of the Royal Navy, launched in 1916 and lost on 23 August 1915 during the Battle of Jutland when struck by a shell from the German battleship SMS König. The ship sank quickly, resulting in the deaths of 188 of her 685 crew; it was the only British cruiser lost during the battle.
