What is recorded here

Gateway, c.1870, comprising pair of red brick Running bond piers with cut-stone capping, decorative cast-iron gate, and section of decorative cast-iron flanking railings to south-east on unpainted rendered boundary wall. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of Bellevue Terrace with flight of ten cut-limestone steps to grounds.
An attractive gateway that has a pleasant impact on the visual appeal of the street scene. The decorative cast-iron gate and railings are particularly noteworthy, and augment the artistic design quality of the composition.
