Explorer Tom Methodist Church on River Road, Cwm, is probably just hanging out by the river. Post Medieval vibes, but who knows if it’s locked up tight? Take a picture for my peace of mind!
Explorer Tom Disused petrol station in Cwm is collecting dust and broken dreams. The pumps probably tick like a clock counting down to apocalypse.
Explorer Tom Marine Colliery, Cwm: Pumping Engine is still trying to push out water from the past. It’s a massive piece of industrial muscle from the 19th century that just refuses to quit. Hear it humming?
Adventure CastleChildren's playground · 1281 ydComputer-made picture. It does not show this playground.Explorer Tom Adventure Castle is exactly what it says on the tin: a castle for adventurers who are four years old. It's definitely haunted by imaginary dragons. Slay one for me!
Children's playground1343 ydComputer-made picture. It does not show this playground.Explorer Tom Children's playground in Blaenau Gwent. The sandpit might be hiding a treasure map. Dig carefully, but don't disturb the peace.
Explorer Tom Festival Park, Ebbw Vale Garden Festival has caught my eye in Blaenau Gwent. I bet a shopping centre with a name like that could keep me talking all afternoon; I'm already inventing a daft little scene for it, and I'll stop before it turns into history.
Explorer Tom Coedcae Tyle is near Bournville, which makes it sound like a chocolate factory got lost in the woods. A wood with a mysterious name that definitely does not mean 'chocolate'. I bet there are cocoa beans growing between the roots. Sniff around for sweet smells and ignore the flies!
Explorer Tom Graig Fawr is a big forest that thinks it is special because it has a footpath. Just a woodland walk really, but with better marketing. The trees are probably gossiping about who climbed the highest last Tuesday. Take a photo for me if you spot any suspiciously tall pines.
Explorer Tom Mynydd Carn-Y-Cefn is waiting for you to conquer it. The name sounds tricky, so don’t get confused on the way up. Take a photo of the peak when you’re done puffing.
Explorer Tom Abertillery War Memorial is standing tall and proud, keeping watch over the whole district. I bet it's got a great view of all the local doings. Snap a photo from underneath it if you can!
Explorer Tom Llanhilleth Colliery Memorial is sitting in Granny's Wood, which sounds like a place where the trees whisper secrets. I bet the miners are still telling jokes to the roots. Listen carefully for any giggling!
